Sean Murphy Returns to #07 at Milwaukee
2007 ASA Late Model Rookie of the Year, Sean Murphy, will return to the NASCAR Truck Series this Friday night to pilot the #07 ASILIMITED Chevy at the Milwaukee (WI) Mile for the Milwaukee 200. It will be Murphy's second race of 2008 in NASCAR's 3rd highest level. Murphy finished in the top ten at Mansfield Motorsports Park earlier this year and will seek another impressive run. It will be Murphy's 17th start in the series. He ran 4-races in 2004, 7 in 2005 and 4 in 2006. In 2007 Murphy signed with SS-Racing where competed full time in the ASA Late Model Series capturing the Rookie of the Year Title, 3 track records and 4 poles. He continues in 2008 with the team under the new joint venture SS-GreenLight Racing. Murphy has already won 3 races this year and is a contender for the ASA Late Model Championship. He is scheduled to race in 6 NASCAR Truck Series events for the team this year.
"I'm looking forward to racing at Milwaukee," said Murphy. "We had a good showing at Mansfield and I'm looking to pick up where we left off and have a solid finish at Milwaukee. The truck series is tough and fun racing. It's a one day show so we need to be on top of our game from morning till night."
Jason White Looks for Solid Run at Milwaukee
Jason White will pilot the #08 GunBroker.com Dodge for round-11 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at the Milwaukee Mile. It will be White's 39th start in the series dating back to his first run in 2001. White signed on with SS-GreenLight Racing at the start of the 2008 season. He has a few previous Nationwide Series starts and a Truck Series start at the track.
"I'm looking forward to returning to Milwaukee. I've run very decent there in the past," said White. "Our goal is to have a good event from practice to qualifying to ending with a top-15 finish or better. I think we are capable of doing that. It's the first year with this team and we continue to learn and develop."
