Wood Brothers Racing Looking Forward to Michigan; Starting Where They Left Off In Texas

Harrisburg, NC (June 12, 2008)- After a solid performance last weekend in Texas, Jon Wood and Wood Brothers Racing will head to Michigan for the Cool City Customs 200 at Michigan International Speedway to be held on Saturday, June 14th. The Team will be using the same U.S. Air Force Ford F-150 chassis that was used last week at Texas Motor Speedway where Jon ran most of the race in the top 5 and finished 10th.

Jon is confident that the team will start the weekend where they need to with the proven chassis and is looking forward to racing at Michigan. Jon commented on running at MIS. He said, "Michigan is a fun race track to go to because it's so wide and there are so many lanes to choose from. You cannot mess up a corner by driving too low or too high and because it's so wide you can try different things without the risk of losing ground."

Trying different things is what the team will do to make the truck get better as the season goes on. Jon said, "I'm hoping for things to be better and I know it doesn't always look like it on the race track, but we are improving. Hopefully this weekend will show more of that."

Watch Jon Wood drive the #21, Air Force Ford F-150 this Saturday, June 14 at Michigan International Speedway on the Speed Channel - race coverage begins at 2:30 pm ET.
