MATT CRAFTON, No. 88 Menards/Energizer Silverado, Qualified 3rd, Finished 3rd:
"We were happy with it. I really thought we had something to run with these guys, but we just needed a longer green flag run. We needed probably about 10-15 more laps on that last run. I loved those re-starts. I cannot thank these guys enough, they changed so much stuff today, and I told them that I didn't want to know what they changed. We qualified third, and finished third, but just came a little short again. We will get a win by the end of the season, I can tell you that."
"The guys changed a ton of stuff on this Menards Silverado yesterday and I just can't thank them enough. It was awesome. We were really good for the first 30 laps of a run, then we would get a little tight in the center and free up off the corner. The guys kept adjusting on it all night and making progress on it. We just needed about three laps into a run to get the thing going and we didn't have them there at the end. At the beginning of a run, it was just a little too loose on entry. I just can't thank my crew enough; they changed everything before we qualified. I didn't want to know anything they did, I just went out there and drove it, we qualified third and I thought we had a shot to win this thing. Our first win will be very soon, this team is just that close.
DENNIS SETZER, No. 85 E85 FlexFuel Silverado, Qualified 2nd, Finished 10th:
NOTE: After leading 51 laps by as much as six seconds, Setzer came down for his final pit stop under caution on lap 178. A problem during the stop relegated back to 14th in the running order.
"Man, I really hate it for Chevrolet and Silverado tonight. We had such a good truck and to lose the race in the way we did it was very disappointing to all of us. We have really hoped and expected to do a lot better for them this year and tonight could have been the turning point. But its been a tough year for us. We ran good and the truck was fast all night, but the deal in the pits was an unfortunate deal.
"I came in and the sign board for the 15 was down low and they dropped it down underneath my truck when I came by. When they went to jack my truck up, it was caught up there underneath the truck and when they tried to jack up the truck, it slipped off. It was a really unfortunate deal.
"It was good to have our FlexFuel Silverado finally be competitive out here. It has not been the year we hoped to give Chevrolet; we had hoped to do a lot better for them. We really appreciate their support and we are going to keep trying with this piece and get better.
"We knew coming in to tonight that we were either going to break our record of races without a top-five finish or break our record of never finishing out of the top-five in Memphis. Unfortunately it didn't work out for us. I just appreciate the opportunity and we will get better, we sure can't keep going like this."
RON HORNADAY JR., No. 33 Kevin Harvick, Inc. Silverado, Qualified 20th, Finished 4th:
"We had a pretty good Silverado. I have to thank Kevin and DeLana Harvick, Rick Carelli and everyone on this team. We are trying so hard here. We called Wally (Rogers, Kevin Harvick, Inc. Busch Series crew chief) in New Hampshire and got his input.
"We got really good there at the end of practice and we made one more little change to snug it up just a little. I just got too tight at the end of the long runs. But we will take this fourth place finish. The guys did an awesome job in the pits to give me better track position and give me a chance to get in the top-five and it was a good day for our Silverado.
"The #23 tried to wreck me down the back straight-away, and he will just have to look at the tape. It was a good race here at Memphis, I really wanted that trophy that Jack (Sprague) got, but out Chevy Silverado was good. Our truck stayed the same as it was yesterday, and we should have been a little closer. It was a good points day for our Chevy Silverado, and that is all that we could ask."
MIKE BLISS, No. 16 Xpress Motorsports Silverado, Qualified 6th, Finished 5th:
"Our truck really wasn't as good as it was in practice, but that was in the daytime. All-in-all, I think our Silverado was good. We were better on the longer runs, we just were consistent, and we weren't really fast at the start of the run. There was a lot of slipping and sliding, so that is always fun.
"We just had trouble getting through turns three and four. We were pretty good on the long runs, and we didn't change much, we just fought tight in three all night. We need to win a race, but we'll get there."
ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 75 FEDEX Express/Spears Manufacturing Silverado, Qualified 21st, Finished 18th:
NOTE: Almirola was running 13th when contact with another truck with just two laps to go sent him spinning into the wall.
How was the truck tonight and what happened to you guys in the late-race spin? "Tonight we just couldn't go on a short run. We got real good on the long runs and I believe we went from eighteenth position all the way up to seventh on the long green flag run. Then we got the late-race caution and put tires on it during the stop. We weren't good on new tires the truck just got really, really tight. Then the twenty-five truck decided he was going to race me with seven laps to go and he was a lap down and I don't know what he was thinking there. He ended up wrecking us."
What did you think about returning to the track where you made your first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start? "It was cool to be back here and have FedEx back on board as our sponsor, but the finish could have and should have been a lot better."
KRAIG KINSER, No. 46 CENTRIX Auto Finance Silverado, Qualified 36th, Finished 27th:
How was your truck tonight? "The truck was good and we could have finished better if the race would have stayed green there on that last run. We were going to do a gas-and-go on the last stop there and pick up some track position but the yellow came out and pretty much killed us. That was our strategy all night, and the reason that we made the early pit stop, so that we could capitalize on track position."
What did you think of the track? "The track was good, but it we just need more laps. You know it was my first time here and first time I've ever seen the place but that's kinda been the story of my whole year because every track we go to I just need more laps around it."
