Hines Confident Heading Back To Martinsville

Sandusky, Ohio -- For The First Time In His Career, Tracy Hines Will Return To A Track At Which He Has A Nascar Craftsman Truck Series Start Under His Belt When The Series Visits Martinsville Speedway This Week.  Hines Finished 13th In The 200-Lap Ncts Race At Martinsville In October, 2003.

â^À^ÜWe Spent Two Days Testing At Sandusky Speedway Last Week And I Am Really Pleased With The Results,â^À^Ý Hines Said.  â^À^ÜRight Now, I Think I Have The Best Short Track Truck I Have Ever Been In Ready To Go For Martinsville.  The Test At Sandusky Gives Us A Really Solid Baseline, So When We Roll It Off The Trailer We Should Be Pretty Good.â^À^Ý

The Thorsport Team Has Had Solid Runs At Martinsville In The Past, Even If The Results Didnâ^À^ÙT Always Show It.  The Team Finished 13th In The Spring Martinsville Event In 2003, And Was Looking To Better That Result In The Fall Race Before Brake Failure Put The No. 88 Menards Chevrolet Into The Wall And Ended The Day Early.

â^À^ÜThese Guys Have Always Run Well At Martinsville In The Past,â^À^Ý Hines Continued.  â^À^ÜThey Finished Sixth There In 2001 And It Seems Like They Are Always Up In The Top-10 At Martinsville Before Something Has Taken Them Out Of Contention.  Itâ^À^ÙS A Long Race, 250 Laps, And You Have To Stay Out Of Trouble And Get To The End.  I Donâ^À^ÙT Mind A Little Beating And Banging, In Fact You Expect That At Martinsville, But We Need To Keep It Clean And Stay Out Of Trouble.  If We Can Do That, Weâ^À^ÙLl Have A Good Finish.â^À^Ý

Hines Has Added Confidence Coming Into Martinsville Because Jerry Cook Returns To The No. 88 Menards Team As Crew Chief, Moving Over From Thorsportâ^À^ÙS No. 13 Team.

â^À^ÜI Am Really Happy To Have Jerry On Board,â^À^Ý Hines Said.  â^À^ÜHe Has Been Around The Series For A Long Time, And He Really Has The Hunger To Win One Of These Things.  After Working With Him For That Two-Day Test At Sandusky, I Just Canâ^À^ÙT Wait To Get To Martinsville And Get After It.â^À^Ý

The Kroger 250 At Martinsville Speedway Is Scheduled For 1 P.M. Edt Saturday, April 17.  The Race Will Be Televised Live On Speedchannel And Broadcast On The Radio Affiliates Of The Motor Racing Network.
