What does it mean to start on the pole at a track where track position is so important?

"It's very important. You want to start up front. You know what the pit strategies are going to be. People are going to try to come in as early as possible to be able to make it to the end. Our Brangus Breeders Tundra is in pretty good shape. Trip Bruce (crew chief) and the guys just did a tremendous job, and we're pretty excited to start up front here at Mansfield."

How do you think the pole will affect your team's pit strategy?

"I'm glad we were able to get the pole. I'm happy with it. It was a pretty good lap. You'll see a lot of guys go to where they can go on just one stop and do it. Last year was won with no pit stop, but we can't do it with these fuel cells. There will be some excitement through pit strategies, for sure."
