Kinser Ready to Rumble at Mansfield
MANSFIELD, OH (May 23, 2007) -- The Ohio 250 at the Mansfield Motorsports Park (MMP) marks the seventh race of the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) schedule and Kraig Kinser is more than ready to get back at the track.
The Bloomington, IN native will be making his second start at the 0.5-mile oval, in a race that is sure to be a thriller for fans and drivers alike. The 22-year old driver of the No. 47 Ginn Resorts Silverado, a joint effort between Morgan-Dollar Motorsports (MDM) and Ginn Racing, is hoping to have a stronger run than last year, where the team was plagued by tire and gear problems that relegated them to a 35th place finish.
"After a discouraging run at Charlotte, I am hoping that the Morgan-Dollar Motorsports team can bounce back and have a great run at Mansfield," Kinser stated."The guys work so hard on the trucks, and I know they have been disappointed with how things have been going. We just need a good, solid run to give everyone a boost of confidence. We have been consistent with our qualifying, and have had some good runs during the race; we are just struggling putting together the finishes that we need.Mansfield is a great track, and it will bring everyone back to some good, short track racing, and I always enjoy heading back to an area that is semi-close to home.I know some of my family will be attending the race, so I am pretty excited to head up there."
Kinser and his MDM team have had consistent qualifying and race runs, but are working extra hard to achieve the strong finishes that seem to elude them.Kinser is also looking forward to heading back to Mansfield, as many members of the Kinser family will be in attendance at the event Saturday afternoon.
