MANSFIELD, OH - Inclement weather was the winner in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series qualifying at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. For the second consecutive year, torrential rain forced NASCAR officials to cancel qualifying for the City of Mansfield 250.

Team Chevy Silverado drivers were able to complete the full four hours of optional testing on Thursday afternoon as well as the majority of Friday's pre-qualifying and race practice before a continuous line of severe thunderstorms rolled in the area.

Mike Bliss, NO. 16 IWX Silverado, Matt Crafton, No. 88 Menards Silverado, Ron Hornaday, No. 33 Kevin Harvick, Inc. Silverado, Dennis Setzer, No. 85 E85 FlexFuel Silverado and Aric Almirola, No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado were consistently in the top-10 on the leader board both days. Bliss concluded final practice with the fastest time of 16.303 seconds, 110.409 mph on the .5 mile moderately banked track.

The field will for the 250 lap/125 mile race was lined up according to provisions in the NCTS rule book starting with the top-30 in 2006 team owner points. There will be 13 Chevy Silverados, nine Toyotas, eight Dodges and six Fords in the 36-truck starting field.
