Mansfield, Ohio (May 16, 2005) --David Star brought home another solid top-10 finish in the No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet Silverado Sunday in the UAW-GM Ohio 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. Starr who qualified 7th for the second annual event at the speedway managed to hold on for a 9th place finish after using his tires up late in the race.

"We had the right truck in our Silverado today from the beginning, Starr said. "We weren't very good in practice but qualified decent and knew we'd be good for the race. Early on Ted (Musgrave) and I were racing for a spot and got together a little and I cut a tire down so our one (pit) stop strategy didn't play out. With about 30 laps to go the front tires got hot and it just wouldn't rotate through the center. All in all it wasn't a bad day for our Spears Silverado. We just faded there in the end but it's a top-ten finish and we'll take it."

Starr is on the fringe of the top-10 in points after only six races into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. He is 8 points out of the 10th spot and 239 points behind current leader and 2004 Champion Bobby Hamilton.

Starr and the rest of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams turn right around and head home to Charlotte for Friday nights running of the Quaker Steak and Lube 200 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The event will be broadcast live on SPEED at 8:30 pm. EST and can be heard on MRN and its affiliate stations.
