LAKELAND, FLORIDA -- Chris Fontaine of Lakeland, FL finished 17th driving through the raindrops during the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Quaker State & Lube 250 presented by Circle K at Mansfield Motorsports Park in Ohio on Saturday (May 26).

Fontaine moved cautiously through the field and put his Ford in sixth place, but was unable to keep it there.

"We were fast enough to run up front at the end," said Fontaine. I made a mistake on our pit stall and had to go to the end of the longest line and that really put us in the back. We tried to makeup positions as much as we could."

Fontaine drove the Xpress Motorsports owned Ford on the one-half mile Ohio track that slowed many drivers from advancing. The average speed of this race was 52.873 mph and the margin of victory was .522 seconds with only three lead changes.

"It was pretty intense -- there was beating and banging all around," said Fontaine. Those guys are another type of animal -- they're not afraid to hit each other. I'm looking forward to coming back here."

This was Fontaine's second race at Mansfield. In his first race he finished 17th after qualifying 27th in the late Bobby Hamilton owned Bobby Hamilton Racing Dodge.
