Loudon, NH: Eric Jones will start the Team EJP Chevrolet Silverado in the 26th position for Saturday's New Hampshire 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the New Hampshire International Speedway. Jones' lap was 31.126 seconds/122.367 miles per hour around the Magic Mile. NASCAR Winston Cup Series veteran Jimmy Spencer will start from the pole after he set a lap of 29.909 seconds/127.346 miles per hour.

"In practice, we were way too loose, so we made some adjustments to tighten the truck up," Jones said after his qualifying run. "That only made the truck more free. Once the Cup cars went out on the track for their practice session, it changed the racetrack. It was a lot different than it was on old tires.

"We did more than 60 laps in practice," Jones continued. "Much of that was to get me comfortable here. This is the first time I have been here to race, and the best thing to help that situation is to make as many laps as possible. So far, I really like this place. I don't know if that is saying much though, I like every racetrack I have ever been to!"

Jones said he had started to get comfortable as the practice session was coming to a close.

"I thought we had really started to get a lot better right there before qualifying," Jones said. "We continued to learn all day, and that is what it takes to get better. Unfortunately, we struggled a little bit right off the trailer, but I am pretty confident we can have a good race. What we need to do is stay out of trouble and run all 200 laps. If we can do that, I think that ought to do the trick to have a pretty good finish here at the Magic Mile."

The New Hampshire 200 will get the green flag shortly after 1 pm ET, and will be broadcast live on Speed Channel. The race will also be broadcast live on Motor Racing Network and on NASCAR Radio XM 144 on XM Satellite Radio.
