Stacy Compton Quotes
On Dover: "We left Richmond two weeks ago with such a good feeling about this race team, it was a shame to have the next week off. We started 39th at Richmond and finished 16th. Considering out starting position, that was quite an achievement. The week off, however, gave us a chance to catch our breath and work on our Kingsford/Bush's Baked Beans Ford. It shouldn't be a problem to transform the momentum we started at Richmond over to Dover."
On the season: "We've been saying all along that we're one of the top teams in the Busch Series as long as we don't have bad luck. The race at Richmond proved that. We have three months to build on that momentum so we can hit the ground running in 2006. Our goal is to win a race or two in the final three months. As long as we avoid bad luck, we're good enough to do that."
Crew Chief Chris Rice Quote
On Dover: "What makes Dover such a challenge is it's so easy to over-drive. If you get into Turns 1 and 3 too hard, you have to stay on the brakes too long and it kills your exit speed for (Turns) 2 and 4. Dover is all about momentum. You want keep your momentum all the way around the track, and to do that, sometimes it's best to be a little slower going into the corners so you can be fast coming off them."
