David Starr Rides Into Vegas With New Look
Starr on Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
"From what I have heard from my manufacturer teammate Todd Bodine, the track is very fast. From talking to Todd, it sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun to race on. There's apparently a distinct bump in turn one, which adds character to the track. I'm really excited to get out to Las Vegas and get on the new track. It's going to be an equal playing field for everyone. The race track is new, and nobody really has a leg up on the competition going in. With the way this Red Horse Racing team has been running, I'm confident we'll have a solid run out in Las Vegas. And this weekend, we have a little added incentive -- TOYOTAFORKLIFT.NET is our primary sponsor for the race, so we want to go out there and win one for them.
"I have a pole and a win on the old track, so I really liked the track the way it was. But I like to go fast -- and since the track is faster now, I'm sure that I will like it even more. Hopefully, we can put the No. 11 TOYOTAFORKLIFT.NET Tundra out front. It will be a more exciting race for the fans, too. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has always put on a good show at Las Vegas, and it's only going to be better with the track being new."
Las Vegas Sponsors:
David Starr will have a different look this week on his No. 11 Toyota Tundra. At Indianapolis earlier this year, Starr and his Red Horse Racing team welcomed aboard sponsor TOYOTAFORKLIFT.NET. for the remainder of the season. This week in Vegas, they will be the primary sponsor on the truck with their logos adorning the hood and quarter panels of the No. 11 machine.
"We have really enjoyed having TOYOTAFORKLIFT.NET as part of our team and they have seemed to have been a good luck charm as well," said Starr. "We hope the good fortunes and strong performances continue this week so we can send them to Victory Lane. They will have a lot of people out there and we will get the opportunity to spend some time with them. A trip to Victory Lane would be the coolest."
Starr will also carry the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino logo on the deck lid of the No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Starr will join a dozen other drivers in an autograph session at the Stratosphere on Friday, Sept. 22 at 9:30 p.m.
"The Stratosphere is one of the more recognizable landmarks in Las Vegas, and I am proud to represent them on the race track this weekend.
Starr will be making his 159th career start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this week at Las Vegas.
