REUTIMANN NEEDS CHANGE OF LUCK AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

LAS VEGAS (September 17, 2006) -- This week David Reutimann and his Darrell Waltrip Motorsports team travel west to Las Vegas Motor Speedway following a 12th-place finish in the most recent NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at New Hampshire International Speedway.

"In the past, we've struggled at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for some reason and we don't know why," Reutimann said. "Now, they've reconfigured it and I'm anxious to get there and see what the track is like. We need a good finish. Last weekend at New Hampshire, we had a good truck, but around Lap 7 the 60 truck got into us and caused a lot of damage to the left front fender. I was on the outside of Jack (Sprague) and coming off the corner his truck jumped loose on him and he slid up the track. When he did, I was there. It's unfortunate because it ruined both of our days. We were close to a top-10 finish and that's only because my guys made that happen."

With seven races remaining, Reutimann is still third in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings, 263 points behind leader Todd Bodine.

"We need a win," said Reutimann, whose best finish at Las Vegas is 12th (9/24/05). "We started off really consistent and thought a win was around the corner. We have to get back in our form to the point of where we can win races. We've got the team to do it and Toyota's given us some things we need. Hopefully, we can finish out the season the way we started it. If we can do that, we will set ourselves up for a win."
