Dotter to come from 31st In Las Vegas truck series event.

LAS VEGAS, NV Bobby Dotter will start 31st in the Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. Dotter turned a lap of 35.286 in time trials, which translates to a 153.035 miles per hour average. David Starr won the pole with a lap of 33.106 seconds/163.112 miles per hour.

"We just don't have a strong qualifying package on the superspeedways," Dotter said. "But we started in the back at Texas and at Nashville, and ended up with decent finishes in both races so I think we should be okay. We seem to race a whole lot better than we qualify."

"I am not sure Happy Hour helped us all that much," he continued. "Track conditions were a little questionable, and it was run after dark so the track temperature will be no where near what it will be when the race starts tomorrow afternoon. We just plan on going out and staying out of trouble, logging laps, and getting a good finish.

"We are trying hard to catch the guys in front of us in the points, and we knew this would be a race that would be difficult. But if we can stay out of trouble and make some laps, we should have a good finish and potentially pick up some points."

The Las Vegas 350 will start just after 5 pm ET and will be seen live on ESPN. The race will also be broadcast on NASCAR Radio on XM Satellite and on MRN Radio affiliates nationwide.
