Kyle Busch overcomes problems to win at Bristol

After hitting the wall on lap one and a pit road speeding penalty during a caution on lap 70, the No. 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota, driven by Kyle Busch, was up front and in position to take the lead in the final five laps of the UNOH 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Bristol (Ten.) Motor Speedway on Wednesday. Busch drove on to his fourth Truck Series win at Bristol and his 14th, overall, win at the track across NASCAR's three national divisions -- Camping World Truck, Nationwide and Sprint Cup.

"I hated I did that to my guys," Busch said of the speeding penalty he incurred. After starting the race 10th, Busch had moved up into the top-three and then got off pit road second during the lap 70 caution. After serving his penalty, he restarted the race 25th.

Peters spun around at the finish, but still managed to finish second. The No. 29 Brad Keselowski Racing Ford of Ryan Blaney finished third.

"Timothy just threw the Hail Mary, I guess," Busch said.

Blaney took two tires to Busch's when most of the field headed down pit road with just a handful of laps remaining.

Blaney battled Peters for the lead earlier in the race, but as the two-raced side-by-side for the top spot with just over 50 laps to go, Peters' No. 17 moved up the track, and Blaney moved into the marbles and slid into the wall.

"(Peters) drove me all the way into the fence," Blaney said after the race. "Don't like that too much."

After leading every lap of last year's Bristol race, Peters, again, dominated the truck action at Bristol. The No. 94 Bill Elliott Racing Chevrolet of Chase Elliott started the race from the pole and led the way until Peters took the lead on lap 64.

After taking the lead, Peters dominated, remaining up front until his truck sputtered because of what looked to be a fuel pickup issue on a restart that followed a caution that came out with 23 laps to go in the 200-lap race. Blaney then took the lead as other trucks, including the No. 88 ThorSport Racing Toyota of Matt Crafton, suffered the same issue as the No. 17. Blaney's boss and teammate, Brad Keselowski in the No. 19 Brad Keselowski Ford spun on the same restart, attempting to miss Crafton's stalled truck.

As a result of the somewhat botched restart, the yellow flag waved again, resulting in a restart with fewer than 10 laps to go. Blaney restarted with the lead, and Busch was alongside in second. Right after the restart, Peters took second from Busch, but then Busch got by both Peters and Blaney for the lead. Peters then moved into second.

"I was racing Ryan Blaney at first, and I thought I could clear him faster than that," Busch said. On the final lap, Busch and Peters raced side-by-side for the win. Despite pit road issues, the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Toyota of Johnny Sauter finished fourth, and Elliott rounded out the top-five.

"We came from the back, had some trouble in the pits, then came from the back again," Sauter said.

Finishing sixth through 10th were the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet of Ty Dillon, the No. 31 Turner Scott Motorsports Chevrolet of James Buescher, the NTS Motorsports Chevrolet of Ron Hornaday, Keselowski and Crafton.
