AVONDALE, Ariz. - Looking to make his series debut in Friday's Silverado 150, Cory Kruseman participated in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice session at the Phoenix International Raceway Wednesday, November 6. Qualifying for the race is Thursday, November 7 with the race slated for Friday, November 8.

Kruseman posted the 35th-fastest lap among the 41 trucks that participated in the session. The practice was Kruseman's first official event in NASCAR competition. The California native is one of the top sprint car racers in the United States.

"We were out there searching for the cushion, that's for sure!" Kruseman said. "We never jumped it and got into the fence, so that is a good thing. We are looking for about a half second, and I think the truck has it, and I know the driver has it. We will make a few changes in the morning and chase after it!"

Kruseman's quick lap around the desert mile was 30.039 seconds (119.844 miles per hour). Mike Bliss led the session at 28.593/125.905.

The Silverado 150 is slated to start at 3 p.m. EST/noon PST Friday, November 7. The race will be telecast live on ESPN and broadcast on the radio affiliates of the Motor Racing Network (MRN).
