HATTORI HAS SOLID RUN IN KENTUCKY

Sparta, KY (July 10, 2005) --Shige Hattori brought home a solid run in the No. 9 AISIN/AISIN AW Germain Racing Toyota Tundra Saturday at Kentucky Speedway in the Built Ford Tough 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. Hattori maintained consistency throughout the race and started and finished in the 24th place position.

"We accomplished our goals tonight," Shige Hattori said. "We got the experience behind the wheel in Kentucky which will help us the remainder of the season. The truck was really fast and the engine was strong but we knew we needed to use this race as a learning tool for future races and for next year."

Hattori credits his crew chief Tom Ackerman and teammate Todd Bodine for the solid run in the Bluegrass State.

"Tom (Ackerman) and I met for a while after practice and watched the ARCA race to help me learn the lines on the track," Hattori said. "Todd (Bodine) and I spoke as well and I was able to follow him some during practice which helped a lot. We are getting better every race and I'm learning so much. It was a great race on Saturday and I'm looking forward to the remainder of the season."

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is off next weekend but will return to action Saturday July 23rd for the O'Reilly 200 at the Memphis Motorsports Park.
