AMBROSE FIFTH IN FINAL PRACTICE AT KENTUCKY

Marcos Ambrose has again showed his speed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series by driving the #20 Team Australia/Aussie Vineyards F-150 Truck to fifth fastest in today's final practice for the Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

Coming off his best result last weekend in Kansas, where the Australian finished a remarkable third, the two-time Australian V8 Supercar Champion has continued his strong form into this weekend's race at Kentucky Speedway, which like last week in Kansas will be held on a 1.5-mile oval.

The time made Ambrose the fastest Ford in final practice and also the second fastest rookie behind Kerry Earnhardt, who was fastest in the session.

Ambrose will hope to carry his current truck speed into tomorrow, when the Tasmanian will qualify and race the Team Australia/Aussie Vineyards truck in only his 10th NASCAR start.

WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY --

MARCOS AMBROSE -- #20 TEAM AUSTRALIA/AUSSIE VINEYARDS F-150

"Last week was such a surprise for us all," said Ambrose.

"We were aiming for a top 10 and we really just wanted to improve on our previous best finish of 18th. To come away with third was great for the guys.

"For this week, let's not get carried away and let's focus on what we have. We have the same truck, a similar set-up and a similar track to use it on. We feel confident with what we've brought here.

"We feel happy with the truck after practice. We've got to get through qualifying and get ourselves in the top 10 again and just have a strong day.

"What we've got going is so good, we just don't want to lose what we already have. The biggest thing for us to focus on is to contain what we've already got and then improve around the edges."
