NCTS Sophomore to Make Second Career Start at 1.5-mile Oval

STATESVILLE, NC -- Kraig Kinser is hoping a strong month of June will carry over to July when the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) roars into the Kentucky Speedway. The Built Ford Tough 225 marks the 13th race on the NCTS schedule and will be Kinsers' second visit to the 1.5 mile tri-oval.

The 22-year old, Bloomington, IN native is looking to redeem himself after a crash on lap one in the 2006 event took the No. 47 Ginn Resorts Silverado out of the race.

The Statesville, NC-based Morgan-Dollar Motorsports (MDM) team will be bringing chassis No. 41, which previously raced at the Lowes Motor Speedway (LMS) in May and the Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) in June. Chassis No. 41 has a best finish of 15th at TMS.

"This will be my second trip to Kentucky, and I look forward to getting back there," Kinser said. "Kentucky can be a bit of a tricky place to get used to, but we have a couple of practices to get the truck acclimated to the track. Last year, I spun on my second lap during qualifying, and then was involved in a wreck on lap one during the race. Hopefully this year we can turn things around and keep the momentum rolling with the encouraging runs that we have had the last few weeks."
