MATT CRAFTON -- NO. 88 MENARD'S/IDEAL DOOR CHEVROLET SILVERADO, STARTED 13TH, FINISHED 3RD
TALK ABOUT TONIGHT'S RACE:
"Track position was everything out there tonight. I can honestly say this Menards Chevy Silverado, and there have been races where didn't think we had the best truck-when we won at Charlotte some people said we didn't have the best truck, but I can honestly say tonight we had the best truck. We just didn't have track position. Early in the race, I raced, passed and drove away from Johnny (Benson, race winner). At one point he took two tires and he got the track position. Once he got out there in the lead, it was night and day difference. We did it once in practice, I got out in front of some people and then got behind them and we lost two to three tenths, so track position was everything.
"I can't thank these guys enough, they are awesome in the pits. They did a great job each and every time they went over the wall, they were awesome. They are building me great trucks. This truck is brand new, just took it to the wind tunnel on Monday and it is good. I am excited for the rest of the year."
YOU GUYS WENT FOR THE FOUR TIRE OPTION ON THE LAST STOP. DID THAT HELP YOU THERE IN THE END?
"Yeah, we took four tires. We really had too many laps on our left side tires and we could have just taken rights or just taken lefts. I think the No. 22 (Michael Annett) actually just took two and track position was everything tonight and not taking anything away from them but I feel like we definitely had the best truck early in the race tonight. We were ahead of Johnny (Benson) and we drove away from Johnny.
"If you had a top-five truck tonight and you got in the lead you would just drive away. If my Chevy Silverado had been out front, we definitely would have driven away."
