Kansas: GM Racing teams practice quotes

DENNIS SETZER, NO 46 CHEVROLET Z71 SILVERADO, SEVENTH IN PRACTICE ONE, 14TH IN PRACTICE TWO: "Our Chevrolet Silverado isn't quite where we want it to be but we will get it there. We tried something in qualifying setup that didn't quite work out...

DENNIS SETZER, NO 46 CHEVROLET Z71 SILVERADO, SEVENTH IN PRACTICE ONE, 14TH IN PRACTICE TWO: "Our Chevrolet Silverado isn't quite where we want it to be but we will get it there. We tried something in qualifying setup that didn't quite work out too well for us but I know that Eric (Phillips, crew chief) and the guys will get it right for the race tomorrow. I don't think we have much of a shot at the pole but as long as we get a pretty decent qualifying effort and can have a good pit pick, we will be fine tomorrow."

JACK SPRAGUE, NO 16 CHEVY TRUCKS SILVERADO. THIRD IN THE FIRST PRACTICE AND FOURTH IN THE SECOND PRACTICE: "Our Chevy Trucks Silverado is good. We got it real neutral in race trim and our bonsai runs were good as well. The crew put together a really good truck for me this weekend. We should have a good qualifying run so we can get a good pit spot and then just run our race tomorrow so we are there at the end. This place kind of owes us one so we are looking for a strong run tomorrow."

RON HORNADAY, NO. 6 GM GOODWRENCH SILVERADO, 22ND IN THE FIRST PRACTICE, 20TH IN THE SECOND PRACTICE: "We still have some work to do, but overall the GM Goodwrench Chevrolet practiced pretty well. We made some good adjustments from this morning and we are going to make a few more before we qualify tonight. I think that we should end up starting somewhere in the top-10 which is always a good place to be. This is the truck that Kevin (Harvick) drove in Michigan and it practiced a lot like it did today, but when it came time to race Wally (Rogers) and the guys had it ready to go. This week should be no different.

JOHN ANDRETTI. NO. 15 BILLY BALLEW MOTORSPORTS SILVERADO, 10TH IN THE FIRST PRACTICE, 23RD IN THE SECOND PRACTICE: "The first practice I thought went pretty good. We worked on a few things. A lot of it was me just getting back in the rhythm of things and also just to feel the truck out since this is my first time to ever drive a truck. The second practice, the track changed a lot and I am probably not giving them all the feedback they need because without at least testing here in a truck, there is no history. And since I have never driven a truck, I don't know what changes what on the truck. I am putting them at somewhat of a disadvantage because I don't know all the characteristics of the truck. But we are working our way through and hopefully we will be ok?

"I like the truck a lot. It is a lot of fun to drive. But how much I like it will depend on our results. (says with a smile)

"I know I am in good equipment, they have proven that with there record so far this year. The team has it all together. The pressure would be worse if we had come and tested on top of all of their success, but we are just going at it knowing there is a disadvantage. I haven't driven anything since March and this is my very first laps in a truck. So there is just a lot to learn and a short time to learn it."
