Gabi DiCarlo Rolls Into Kansas Speedway with High Expectations
* This weekend's race at Kansas Speedway will mark Gabi DiCarlo's third career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). DiCarlo has been driving for Stringer Motorsports for four years, first in the Hooter's Pro Cup Series and then in the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the last two seasons in the No. 90 Great Clips entry.
* DiCarlo, a Phoenix, Ariz.-native, has two previous starts at Kansas Speedway, both in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. In last year's event at Kansas, she posted a career-best ninth place finish after starting 23rd.
* DiCarlo has two NCWTS starts under her belt so far this season. She made her series debut at California Speedway, posting an impressive 19th place finish. Next up was Atlanta Motor Speedway, where she finished 24th
DiCarlo Expecting Strong Run at Kansas Speedway
"Going into this weekend's race at Kansas Speedway, I have a better comfort level because I have previously competed at this track and have some laps under my belt there. That was not a luxury we had in our first two starts this season at California and Atlanta. That being said, I we won't have such a steep learning curve when we unload this weekend. I feel that California and Atlanta were great learning experiences for us as a team and I think that is going to show this weekend."
Crew Chief, Randy Nelson, on Team Expectations
"Gabi has had some really good runs so far this season and now it's time to show people that we are here to run up front. Doug Stringer (team owner) continues to give this team the tools it needs to be a very professional and competitive team, week in and week out. Now it's time for us to do our part. The crew has done a great job getting us on and off pit road all year and I expect a great run out of Gabi this weekend. Our goal as a team is a top-10 - anything less than that and I will be disappointed."
"RockStar" to Take to the Track in Kansas
DiCarlo will drive chassis 01 in this weekend's O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway. Nicknamed "RockStar," this is the same chassis the team ran in their NCWTS debut at California, finishing 19th.
