TODD KLUEVER-50-Shell Rotella T Ford F-150 (Finished 2nd)

YOU POSTED A CAREER-BEST FINISH TODAY. "Man, the Shell Rotella T truck was awesome. We just didn't have quite enough for Todd (Bodine). I thought we were going to maybe have a shot at winning this thing when I got past Hornaday on that restart, but Todd had other ideas. I'm just happy for my guys. They've had their whole world turned upside down this week with new crew chiefs and crew guys swapping and stuff like that. I'm just really proud of them after finding out a day ago that we were switching teams to come out here and run this good."

DID YOU LEARN SOMETHING FOR THE FUTURE ON THE FINAL FEW RESTARTS? "I was trying some different things because I haven't been too stellar on my restarts. The last ones weren't so bad. I had a pretty decent run on Todd there, but I had to block the 17 truck. It's definitely the best day for us on a mile-and-a-half race track, and running in the front like that, I learned a lot all day. I think as the day went on I learned more about restarts. Towards the end they weren't that good because you had to block a start and protect what you have."

TERRY COOK-10-Power Stroke Diesel by Int'l Ford F-150 (Finished 7th)

"I said it all along, this is what a championship team is made out of. We didn't have a very good truck today. We just struggled with the Ford Power Stroke Diesel by Int'l all day long. We just couldn't find a handle on it, but we never gave up and we kept making adjustments all day long. Finally there at the end we got it running pretty good. Something was up with the motor today. It just wouldn't pull. I go back to what I've said all along, if we had a Power Stroke Diesel engine underneath the hood we would never have any problems, but NASCAR won't let us run that. Nevertheless it was just a good day for the Power Stroke Diesel crew. We never give up and today is a perfect example of that."

HOW WOULD YOU CHARACTERIZE THE RACING TODAY? "Personally, I think they killed the race today with the gear rule. Our motor wasn't pulling. I know we had motor issues today, but for the most part I think a lot of that was attributed to the fact that we didn't have any gear. NASCAR mandated a gear rule here and I don't think they were too favorable to the gear selection for this race. I only needed a little more gear to be competitive and I think that's what separated the field so much. I think the guys that had a truck that was real free could run real free and the gear could pull them off the corner, where the guys that were a little bit tight separated the field huge. I think the gear today killed the race more than anything."

RICK CRAWFORD-14-Circle Bar Truck Corral Ford F-150 (Finished 10th)

YOU BROUGHT HOME YOUR 100TH CAREER TOP-10 FINISH TODAY. "Me and Kevin Starland are talking over the race - strategy and truck setup and all of that kind of stuff - and this is not a bad truck. This is a Built Ford Tough F-150 and it ran good. But, we dug all day to get into the top 10, and there was no track position at all. I really don't know. We'll keep after, and Cowboy Starland is trying to keep in tune and keep her tuned up, and one day it will be our day. Today it wasn't."

THERE WASN'T A LOT OF CLOSE-PACK RACING TODAY. TO WHAT DO YOU ATTRIBUTE THAT? "You can't complete the pass anymore because a lot of people tune the trucks to the rear-end gear and everybody has the same gear, so you just try to beat the other vehicle through the center of the corner. Then you run the same speed down the straightaways, so drafting comes into play when you're like that because that pads your speed. You just can't complete the pass, and then you've got lapped trucks out there that want to race 120 laps into the show and it sort of splits up the field because it's really too competitive to have three-wide racing with a good, fast truck."
