Chase On Kansas:
Chase is coming off a disappointing 27th place finish last week at the Milwaukee Mile. Plagued by mechanical gremlins all weekend, the 20-year-old rookie and his BHR2 team look to gain some positive momentum as they head into Kansas.
"I think most of the drivers enjoy going to Kansas and I am one of them. The track is just so nice and smooth and it has a wide racing surface. The fans there are some of the best and the amenities at the track I think are the nicest of all the places we visit all year. The only bad thing about Kansas is that it is usually so darn hot there 0x2022 but they are saying that this week it will not be too bad. I really look forward to the race this week."
#8 DODGE at Kansas:
Chase will be racing the truck named "Hulk" this week. This will be the second race of the year for "Hulk" as Chase ran it a few weeks ago in Texas and came home with a solid 18th place finish.
Chase will be making an appearance at the DODGE Merchandise trailer from 10:00 -- 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Fan Friendly Confines of Kansas Speedway:
It is safe to say that the annual visit to the Kansas Speedway is one of the favorite of many people in the sport of racing. The amenities at the 1.5-mile track are second to no other track that we race on and the same can be said about the friendly manner of all the people.
"It is truly enjoyable to come here to the heartland area," says Chase. "I always enjoy my visit when I come here. I may not always like the heat or the result that I have at the end of the day 0x2022 but the overall visit is good. I came here a few weeks ago for an advanced media day and thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the people. These folks here truly appreciate the racing and support it the way it deserves. Hopefully this week I will have an enjoyable time both on and off the track."
Career at Kansas:
Chase will be making his fourth career start at the 1.5-mile tri-oval of the Kansas Speedway. Last season in the #27 Busch Series ride he came home with a 27th place finish. Chase also has two ARCA RE/MAX Series starts to his credit at the track with a best finish of 12th in the 2002 season.
