Timothy Peters Carrying Momentum to ORP
* Peters at O'Reilly Raceway Park...The AAA Insurance 200 will mark Timothy Peters' fourth start at O'Reilly Raceway Park. In three previous events, Peters has earned two top-20 finishes. Last summer, he started from the sixth position and finished 17th. Although a top-10 finish at the Indianapolis .686-mile has elluded him so far Peters is confident this weekend will rewrite history.
* Riding The Wave...Peters and the #17 Red Horse Racing team are riding the momentum from a sixth place finish at Gateway International Raceway last Saturday. The team secured its eighth top-10 finish of the season despite blowing an engine on the final lap. Peters is looking forward to the third short track race in a row at ORP.
* Still In The Hunt...Peters sits fourth in the Camping World Truck Series driver point standings but is still very much in the championship hunt. With a sixth place finish at Gateway, Peters closed the gap. He is just nine points behind third place and 205 points back from the leader. Only 65 points separate the third position from the sixth position.
Timothy Peters on racing at O'Reilly Raceway Park "ORP really reminds me of South Boston Speedway. It's the short track racing I grew up on so I always look forward to racing there. We had some misfortune last year with contact on pit road so we didn't get the finish we deserved. ORP is another one day show and when you have practice is the morning heat then race at night, your truck can change quite a bit. If we can get it turning through the center, I think we will have something for those guys on Friday night."
Jeff Hensley on racing at O'Reilly Raceway Park "I've been going to ORP since the first race there in 1982. I've come close to winning a couple times but never quite got there. It's a tough place to get a hold on. We learned some things at Gresham Motorsports Park during our test and last weekend during the race at Gateway that we can apply to ORP. I'm looking forward to getting there and putting that information to work."
Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #137 in the AAA Insurance 200 at O'Reilly Raceway Park. This is the same chassis Peters piloted at Martinsville where he started fifth and finished fourth.
