A Family Affair

Las Vegas...Given a day off prior to leaving for Homestead Miami Speedway, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point leader Brendan Gaughan is not sitting still... far from it.

Instead, he will join forces with his brother John in an all out attempt to take top honors in the SNORE Best Western Shootout in Nelson Hills, Nev.

"It's going to be a blast," smiles Gaughan. "I love running in the desert and this has long been one of my favorite off-road tracks. In fact, it is the course that I earned my first overall win on. The track consists of five 42-mile rugged loops. And, while it is a tough, bone-jarring run, it's definitely lots of fun."

Piloting the Las Vegas Dissemination Co./Goodyear Class 1 buggy prepped by Butch Dean of Valley Performance, the Gaughan brothers will share driving duties in this, the last race of the 2003 SNORE Off-Road Series.

"My spotter Billy Holbrook will co-drive with me," continues Gaughan. "And, when we are not racing, we will be on the sidelines cheering my other brother Mike Jr., on to victory. He currently leads the Class 10 Championship and seeing him earn this year's title would be totally awesome."

All in all it will definitely be a family affair with all three Gaughan brothers in the hunt.
