Small starts 24th in American Racing Wheels 200 NCTS race at California Speedway.

FONTANA, CA Jason Small will start 24th in the American Racing Wheels 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at the California Speedway on Saturday.  Small turned a fast lap of 42.914 seconds/176.777 miles per hour in the Small Motorsports/Puma Tools.com Chevrolet.  David Starr won the pole for the event with a lap of 40.944 seconds/175.850 miles per hour.

"The truck is very comfortable, we are just down a little horsepower," Small said.  "I love this track.  We have always run well here in the Winston West car, and we think we can have a good top-10 run here on Saturday.  But it would be nice if we had another 30 horses under the hood.

"We need to have a good run to get back up into the top-20 in the points.  That has been our goal the entire second half of the season and we are really close to getting there.  If we can make it to the end without any trouble we should catch them."

The American Racing Wheels 200 takes the green flag Saturday at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT, and can be heard on NASCAR Radio on XM Satellite Radio and on MRN Radio affiliates nationwide.  The race will be shown on a tape-delayed basis on ESPN on Sunday, November 3 and 5 pm ET/2 pm PT.
