Ricky Carmichael, Ron Hornaday and Matt Crafton Post Top-10 Qualifying Efforts in California

Fontana, CA -- Rookie Ricky Carmichael, No. 4 Monster Energy Silverado, continued his impressive debut season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) with a third place qualify effort for the San Bernardino 200 at Auto Club Speedway.

His Kevin Harvick, Inc. teammate, Ron Hornaday, Jr., No. 33 Longhorn Silverado, posted the fourth quickest time and will start alongside Carmichael in row two of the 100-lap/200-mile race slated for Saturday afternoon.

Matt Crafton, No. 88 Menards Silverado, qualified eighth in the order to give Silverado a strong showing at the front of the 36-truck field.

Carmichael -- "Absolutely, I was happy with our performance out there today. Pretty crazy. We came here for practice here yesterday, it is such a fast track for me. It is way harder than Daytona. Less banking. You depend so much on grip. All these guys have so much time out here, during qualifying, they go out there and hold it wide open. They have so much confidence. Whereas, between trying to get the confidence, the tires and everything and trying to learn the track in general, I had a lot to digest. So, just happy to be up here and just want to bring it to the finish tomorrow."

Hornaday - "We were just way too loose on our lap. Rick (Ren) (Crew Chief) and the guys did a great job. We have worked all weekend on the balance of this truck and for some reason we just missed it a little. On our second lap I got so loose that I scrubbed the wall a little coming off of four. This is the same truck we won both Texas races with last season. I think we have built in enough adjustability in the truck though to be pretty good in the race tomorrow. This {Auto Club Speedway} is a place I've never won at, I always say my favorite tracks are the ones I have victories at so I hope to add this one to my list tomorrow."
