On lap 45 in today's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, three drivers were injured and all were sent to Atlanta Medical Center, they were reported as awake when transported.

Tina Gordon and Rick Crawford were transported by ambulances, and Hank Parker Jr. was airlifted.

The incident happened on the 45th lap of the 200-mile race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, round two of the 2004 NCTS season. Gordon's Chevy got loose putting her into a spin, she ended stopped in the middle of the track.

Crawford had nowhere to go as he was drafting behind Dennis Setzer who just missed contact with Gordon. Crawford hit the stationary Chevy who was shoved into Parker Jr. Crawford's Ford ended up in the infield grass, but Parker Jr. was not as fortunate as his Toyota smacked the wall.

The three drivers were transported from the scene to the infield care center where it was decided to move all three to the medical center for further observation.

On lap 88, Joey Clanton hit the wall, sending him to the same medical center.

Medical Update:

Crawford suffered a fractured left foot in two places, and was treated and released. Gordon fractured her right fibula; she was also treated and released.

Clanton was given a MRI, and after the results turned out to be negative he was released.

Parker Jr. suffered a back injury, but the medical staff do not believe surgery will be required. He will be held overnight as further tests will be performed. No time of his releases has been announced.
