DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- Eddie Pearson, catch can man for the No. 46 Morgan Dollar Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado team driven by Dennis Setzer, sustained only bruising to his leg in a pit road incident during the running of the Daytona 250 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Pearson was struck by the truck of Brad Keselowski who slid through his pit box coming in for a pit stop during the Friday night season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway. Pearson was examined and released by the track infield care center medical staff following the incident.

The South Carolina native was scheduled to go over-the-wall Saturday for the No. 36 NASCAR Busch Series team on which his brother Ricky Pearson is crew chief and Stanton Barrett is the driver.

Pearson stayed in Daytona to work as pit support for his brother and the team but did not go over the wall in the Hershey's 300 race season opening race for the NASCAR Busch Series.

"I am doing fine," said Pearson. "I am a little sore but I will be ready to go in California and back over the wall with the No. 46 Morgan Dollar crew."
