Butch Miller/DANA Racing Notes
· Improvement: Butch Miller is hoping that he can achieve better results at Phoenix International Raceway with the Bobby Hamilton/DANA Racing team than he did with last year's team. Last year Miller's best finish was 31st in the spring race. He suffered engine failures in both events last year. After the strong performance the team had in the season opener at Miami Homestead Speedway, 9th place, there is little doubt that the team will be a contender for a top 10 finish again this week. "It's great to go to a race and feel like you have a shot week in and week out to run good," said Miller. "This team has worked very hard over the winter to be prepared for the 1999 season and I think last weeks performance was a sign of things to come." The Bobby Hamilton/DANA Racing team is one for one in starts per top 10 finish.
· Chunky: Butch Miller and the rest of the DANA racing team were so pleased with the performance of the truck they raced in Homestead that they plan to run it again this weekend. For about fifty laps during the running of the Florida Dodge Dealers 400K the DANA truck was the fastest truck according to NASCAR timing and scoring.
· Million Dollar Club: With Butch Miller's 9th place finish at Miami Homestead Speedway last week. He joined the elite group of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers that have exceeded one million in career earnings on the tour. Other notables on the list are champions Mike Skinner, Ron Hornaday, and Jack Sprague.
