NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES CREW MEMBER SUSPENDED FOR VIOLATING SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 12, 2006) -- NASCAR announced today that Derek Lusk, a crew member for the No. 25 Dodge in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has been suspended indefinitely for violation of the sanctioning body's substance abuse policy.

Lusk was tested for banned substances the day of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Nov. 10. Test results were positive, violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-E (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2006 NASCAR rule book.
