HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - The Craftsman logo will have a prominent spot on the race track as the trucks battle for the checkered flag in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Michigan later this month.

As part of a special one-race arrangement, Rick Crawford and the No. 14 Circle Bar Racing Team will carry the Craftsman colors for the Sears 200 at Michigan International Speedway on July 26.

The No. 14 truck will feature the famous red and black colors of America's No. 1 tool brand. Two Craftsman wrenches cross on the hood and Craftsman saw blades are featured around the wheels. The paint scheme is similar to that of the Craftsman NHRA Funny Car driven by Dale Creasy, Jr.

"All of us at Circle Bar Racing are honored to be carrying the Craftsman logo and colors on our truck in Michigan," said Crawford, who currently sits sixth in points. "Without Craftsman, a lot of us wouldn't be here racing today.

"I'm proud to be representing Craftsman during the Sears 200, and I hope we can take the sponsor of our Series to Victory Lane."

Crawford began his career in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 1997. After six years in the Series, Crawford has two wins to his credit, including the 2003 season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Crawford also holds the record for more starts than any other active driver on the circuit.

"We thought it fitting to highlight our sponsorship of the Sears 200 at Michigan International Speedway by developing a special paint scheme for one of the most noteworthy teams in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series," said Toure Claiborne, Sears motorsports marketing manager.

"Craftsman has had a long-standing relationship with Rick Crawford, and we are pleased that he will be piloting the No. 14 Craftsman truck during the Sears 200," Claiborne added.

Craftsman, the Official Tools of NASCAR, has sponsored the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since it began in 1995. According to a 2002 EquiTrend survey, Craftsman is rated the No. 1 brand in the nation among men for overall quality. Sears sells more than 1,600 Craftsman hand tools that are guaranteed forever. If any Craftsman hand tool ever fails to provide complete satisfaction, return for free repair or replacement. Sears offers Craftsman tools, merchandise and related services nationwide through its Full-line stores, Sears Hardware stores, Sears Dealer stores and Orchard Supply Hardware stores, as well as through specialty catalogs and online at www.sears.com.
