Timothy Peters Ready For Return To Intermediate Tracks
* Peters at Chicagoland...The EnjoyIllinois.com 225 will mark Timothy Peters' second career start at Chicagoland Speedway. In 2009 Peters started 21st and raced his way to a ninth place finish.
* Keeping the Streak Alive...Peters and the #17 Red Horse Racing team kept the streak of top-10's going in Bristol despite experiencing some bad luck. Peters was involved in a late race accident and sustained damage but rallied back to an eighth place finish to earn his sixth top-10 finish in a row. Peters started the string of top-10's last month in Gateway and has been earning them ever since. He has also been qualifying well. In the past seven races Peters has only started outside of the top-10 once and captured two poles at ORP and Darlington. In 16 events so far this season, he has only finished outside the top-10 on three occasions. He has the same number of top-10's as series point leader, Todd Bodine.
* Tight Points Battle...Peters is holding his ground in the third position in the Camping World Truck Series driver point standings, just 39 points behind second place. With another good race in Chicago, Peters could take over the second spot and start working on the 250 point deficit to the leader.
Timothy Peters on racing at Chicagoland Speedway "Chicagoland is a fun track because it's got multiple grooves for racing and you can really build your momentum on the straightaway and carry that through the corners. We had a good run there last year. I've only raced there once but I'm glad to be getting back to the mile and a half tracks since we were so good at them earlier this season. Hopefully we'll be able to keep this good luck going and get another great finish at Chicagoland."
Jeff Hensley on racing at Chicagoland Speedway "Chicagoland is a lot like Kansas and we had a really good run going there earlier this year before we had alternator issues. Having had some great runs on mile and a half tracks this year really gives us some added confidence this weekend. We are taking a brand new truck and can't wait to see what she can do when we unload."
Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #85 in the EnjoyIllinois 225 at Chicagoland Speedway. This is a brand new chassis and has never been raced before.
