CARMICHAEL ON COMPETING AT CHICAGOLAND: "After the last two weeks of going to tracks for the first time, I'm really looking forward to going back to Chicago. I like 1.5-mile tracks a lot for the speed that you can carry there. The short tracks have been fun, but I've had a bad run of luck being caught up in other people's messes so I'm ready to get back to a place that I'm familiar there and feel like I can run well."

BEHIND THE WHEEL: Crew chief Doug Randolph has chosen chassis No.13 for Carmichael to pilot at Chicagoland Speedway. This is a brand new Leavitt chassis for Turner Motorsports and the Monster Energy team.

CREW CHIEF'S KEYS TO SUCCESS: "Chicago is very similar in set-up to other 1.5-mile ovals that we see. Obviously speed is important, but being correct on fuel mileage calculations is really key at this type of track. Ricky's been there before both to test and race, so I think we'll be able to see that in his practice sessions and during the race."

MEET THE DRIVER: Fans can meet Ricky Carmichael at Chicagoland Speedway during the at-track autograph session on Friday, August 27 from 1 -- 2 pm.

HIT THE POLLS: It's time for NASCAR's Most Popular Driver fan vote! Carmichael won the award last season and is hoping his fans will help him win a repeat. Go to NASCAR.com to cast your votes today.
