Rick Ware Racing (RWR) is "Taking Steps" for a great cause this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the running of the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on Friday May 21st.

"Taking Steps" for Crohn's and Colitis has an effect on the Rick Ware Racing team at its very core. Crew Chief, Kevin Heins' wife, Margaret, suffers from Crohn's Disease.

Each year, more than 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis-serious, chronic illnesses that can disrupt a person's life.

"I am blessed to work for a team that cares about their employees. I went to Rick about my wife's disease and instantly they put them on the truck to bring awareness to the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America. Members of the team will be joining me and my wife for the "Taking Steps" Walk to raise money for the foundation, on June 26th at Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina!"

The "Take Steps" for Crohn's & Colitis logo will be displayed on the organizations #6 truck driven by J.C. Stout this weekend.

"It means a lot to my family that the truck I crew chief on is the one carrying the logo. We want to beat the competition every week, but more importantly we want to beat this disease and bring awareness to it as well," stated Heins.
