Brad Keselowski Racing teammates collide in Truck qualifying
Tyler Reddick collects teammate Austin Theriault during CWTS qualifying at Kansas Speedway.
KANSAS CITY, KAN. — With less than four minutes remaining in the second round of Camping World Truck Series qualifying, Tyler Reddick lost control of the No. 19 BBR Music Group Ford and plowed into his Brad Keselowski Racing teammate Austin Theriault.
Neither Reddick or Theriault had completed their first laps in the second round when incident occurred coming off of Turn 2 at Kansas Speedway.
I did everything I could to keep it out of the wall but i couldn't do that and then collected my teammate in the process. Not a good start to the day.

“We had a really good truck in practice,” Reddick told motorsport.com. “The first lap of qualifying, it was pretty loose and we put a new splitter on and knew we were going to be hitting it pretty hard in the first couple of laps. I thought the truck would come to us eventually - at some point during qualifying. I knew it was going to be loose. I tried to compensate for it on the first run but was just too loose.
“I really felt the second groove would have been ok there. I got really close to Brendan Jones and I didn’t know where he was going to end up going after he ran his lap and it was hard to figure it out. It was just a shame. I did everything I could to keep it out of the wall but i couldn't do that and then collected my teammate in the process. Not a good start to the day.”
Reddick, 19, entered Kansas Speedway second in the point standings after winning the season truck opener at Daytona. He’s posted top-five finishes in every race this season and has an average finish of 3.7.
Theriault, 21, is making his second career truck start with BK Racing in the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford. He qualified fourth and finished fourth at Daytona.
“There’s not much you can do in that circumstance,” Theriault said. “We’ll go to a back up truck and see what we have for later tonight.”
Reddick and Thierault will be credited with 22nd and 23rd for qualifying but both trucks will drop to the rear of the field for the start of the Toyota Tundra 250.
Erik Jones won the pole for the Toyota Tundra 250 with a new truck track record 179.396 mph.
