Erik Darnell (Finished 3rd)

"It was definitely a lot of fun out there. I think as you guys saw tonight we were two and three-wide there for quite a bit of the race. John Quinn and all the guys did a really good job putting this truck together for me. We struggled a little bit in practice earlier this morning and they made a bunch of changes before qualifying and got the thing running right. Our Northern Tool & Equipment Ford was able to run up front most of the evening there. I thought we had a shot at it at the end. We kind of had it wound up on the top side. I knew Bliss was fast and that he was coming, but without that last yellow I think it was gonna be a little more difficult for him, but we just lost to a better truck tonight."

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ON THE LAST RESTART?

"I think we got a good enough start. Our Northern Tool & Equipment Ford had been good all race. I watched Mike behind me spin the tires a little bit and I was able to run away, but earlier on in the race he had been fast and I knew he was coming. Before that last yellow we were really wound up on the top side and I think he was gonna have a hard time getting underneath us then, but after that yellow I don't want to say we were a sitting duck, but I knew he was gonna be back there and his truck was just a little bit better than ours tonight."

YOU CAN ONLY MAKE IT SO WIDE, RIGHT?

"Yeah, especially on a place where you can run five-wide."

STILL YOU MUST BE HAPPY.

"Yeah, that's two good runs in a row for us. John Quinn and all the guys have been working really hard on this truck. Had we had the finishes at Vegas and Talladega -- we ran up front in both of those and didn't end up finishing up there, and we finally got our top five last week at Martinsville -- I think we'd be a lot closer to the top 10 in points right now, but that's our goal for the end of the year -- to keep digging here and hopefully end up in the top 10."

COULD YOU TASTE THE WIN?

"Yeah, we've been getting closer week in and week out. We were good last weekend at Martinsville, but still not quite good enough to win the race and it was kind of the same deal here tonight. It kind of teased me a little bit out here to be leading with 10 to go and end up not winning it, but it just gives us more momentum to finish off the rest of the year strong."
