Kimmel King When It Comes To Success and Experience at Atlanta:

While this Saturday will mark the first time the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will visit the Atlanta Motor Speedway it will mark the 16th trip for five-time ARCA Re/Max Series Champion, Frank Kimmel. Kimmel will once again pilot the No. 29 K Automotive Ford F-150 as he will attempt to showcase his talent and experience at one of his favorite race tracks.

"Atlanta is a driver's race track and I think that is what I like about it," said Kimmel. "We have always run well there in the ARCA car, but this will be a different situation in the truck. Daytona gave me a chance to get the feel of the trucks again and these K Automotive trucks are always so easy to drive it really makes my job easier."

Kimmel's Daytona performance gained attention as he started 28th in the field before quickly moving into the top ten, leading laps and finishing eighth. Looking at his 15 race history on the 1.54-mile quad oval of Atlanta Motor Speedway proves he is one to watch in both qualifying and the race. In his 15 starts Kimmel has earned six poles, nine front row starting positions, ten top ten finishes, nine top five finishes and six top three finishes. However with this list of impressive statistics, a win has remained elusive at Atlanta for Kimmel.

"With the number of good runs I have had at Atlanta, it is pretty amazing that I have not yet made it to victory lane," said Kimmel. "Of course my goal with K Automotive is to bring attention to the quality of this race team and hopefully help them to secure sponsorship for this season. I know we will have a great truck for this race and if I could get my first Atlanta win in the inaugural NCTS event, I think that would be pretty big."

The EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200 will take the green flag on Saturday, March 13 at 1:00pm. The race will be carried live on Speed Channel, MRN Radio an XM Radio 144. Qualifying will take place on Friday, March 12 at 1:30pm.
