Wise started in 26th and finished in 19th place on Bristol 300

The Motorsports Group now sets its’ sights on Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California on March 23rd.

Mooresville, NC – Josh Wise was ready to attack Bristol Motor Speedway to rebound from last week’s race in the Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas.

The weekend began with two practice sessions on Friday. The No. 40 Curtis Key Plumbing Camaro went through a number of changes to give Wise the feel he needed to race the high banks for 300 laps.

The Gary Showalter led crew dialed the car in for raceday in the first practice. After working with different set up approaches, the team ended up 28th in first practice and felt the car would be good in the race and sit out final practice.

Saturday morning began with qualifying, where the No.40 Curtis Key Plumbing Camaro would start the race from the 26th spot.

From the drop of the green flag, Wise was able to move up through the field finding himself in the top 20 less than 60 laps in. The driver radioed that the car was tight as the first round of pit stops occurred, the team began to fine tune the handling.

The No. 40 Curtis Key Plumbing Camaro finished the Jeff Foxworthy’s GritChips 300 in 19th place. The Motorsports Group now sets its’ sights on Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California on March 23rd.
