Wild weekend in Iowa ends with Bayne taking the win
The NACAR Nationwide Series race in in Newton, Iowa definitely put the teams and drivers to a test this weekend.

After rain delayed the Pioneer 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway in Newton until 10 a.m. local on Sunday, the race was red-flagged, also for rain, with 86 laps to go of the 250-lap scheduled distance.
The No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet of Austin Dillon was the race leader, with the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford of Trevor Bayne in second when the race had its final restart.
When the action resumed, it became a Dillon versus Bayne showdown. There were 14 cars on the lead lap trying to stay in touch with the two leaders to make their final move.
Bayne took the victory over Dillon by 2.024 seconds and handed Ford their 200th NASCAR Nationwide series win.
“I am so proud of this team and what they accomplished here today, not giving up even until the end," said Bayne.
Added the winner, "I got married this week and she told me I had to win so that nobody could blame that on us running bad. I am really excited about this win.”
Elliott Sadler was third followed by Sam Hornish Jr.
Dillon had dominated the after starting from the pole for the third-straight race. He lost the lead to the No. 12 Penske Racing Ford of Sam Hornish Jr. on a restart following a lap three caution, but got back to the front on lap 24.
Hornish retook the top spot with pit strategy, taking only two tires when the yellow flag waved on lap 51. His time up front was short-lived, though, as Dillon retook the spot on the restart.
Bayne made his way up to second from his 14th starting spot by lap 100 and a few laps later took two tires during a caution.
When the race went back to green, Dillon, again, reclaimed his lead position.
The race was already under caution for a multi-car wreck involving the No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing Ford of Travis Pastrana, the No. 99 RAB Racing Toyota of Alex Bowman and the No. 22 Penske Racing Ford of Ryan Blaney when rain halted the race. Joey Logano was originally scheduled to drive the No. 22, but had to leave Iowa for Pocono Raceway for Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race.
