Barrett drives to another Top 20 for RWR

Stanton Barrett knows his way around a road course and that provided him the experience to get around the tricky 4-mile track at Road America for the Bucyrus 200 in Wisconsin and grab another Top 20 for Rick Ware Racing (RWR).

Barrett has regulated himself to a partial NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule in 2010 while he continues his stunt work in Hollywood for the upcoming movies, 127 Hours and Blood Meridian. The limited schedule has shown a benefit for Barrett as his last two races have resulted in a 14th at Darlington Raceway and a 17th at Road America. "I always want to race more than limited schedule, but RWR is focused on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series running two trucks for the Championship. The entry into the new COT for the Nationwide Series era also has limited us monetarily so we (RWR) are selective in the races we run", stated Barrett.

Barrett qualified his Lilly Trucking/4Caring.org/Taleo Grill #31 in the 30th position for the event, but made quick work of the field and was running 11th by lap 30.

"It got really messy out there, and I found myself either being collected in a wreck or taking the higher road into the gravel pit. The high road worked as we continued on picking up spots."

The quick thinking of the Bishop, California native provided him to tie his highest finish in a Nationwide Series road course event, 17th as he did back in 2007 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

"This was a super fun race. One of the most fun I've had in a race," stated Stanton
