GAFFNEY, S.C. (September 6, 2011) – Mike Wallace and the No. 01 Chevrolet team of JD Motorsports have their goals set for themselves in regards to this Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Speedway.

In addition to a well-handling car, good set-up and fast speeds to get a great finish; they also have one other thing on their list – redemption. During their last visit to the Capitol of Virginia, the motor let go just 64 laps into the race ending their night early. This time around, the JD Motorsports team is heading to the track with everything ready to go for all 250 laps under the lights.

Aside from the need for speed and to finish the race, they’re also still involved in that points battle for 11th place. With just eight races left in the NNS season, there isn’t a lot of time left to be giving up points right now.

Quotes: “I’m starting to get used to this nighttime racing, it reminds of my short track days before I made the move up to NASCAR full time. When you race at Richmond, there is real electricity in the air for several reasons. First, it’s a Friday night race and people used the excuse of going to the race to get out of or take a half day off work. Second, it’s the beginning of the college and NFL football seasons and people are all wound up for that, too.”

“Us racing at this great short track of Richmond just makes the weekend all that much better for everyone. For our No. 01 Chevrolet team of JD Motorsports, we’re just looking to make up for what we didn’t achieve when we were here in the spring.”

“We’ve been working hard to get our motor and chassis program much better over the years. This team keeps working harder and harder to get better each week, and I know we’re going to do the same this weekend at Richmond.”
