“Our Roush Performance Ford Mustang was pretty fast,” stated Buescher. “I think we started off really good and passed a ton of cars. The fact we started back there like we did and had to try to make up ground was a challenge, but our car was good. Circumstances were not in our favor this weekend and this is where we ended up.”

Things looked promising to start the week for Buescher after posting the fifth and third fastest speeds in each respective practice session. In an unfortunate turn of events the No.60 Roush Performance Mustang, along with a several other series regulars, did not pass through inspection with enough time to qualify, placing him in the 39th -starting position.

The Prosper, TX native did not waste any time wheeling his racecar up the track and into the top-15 by lap 27. The 2012 ARCA Racing Series champion was running in 15th when the No.99 car of James Buescher got into the No.55 of Jamie Dick, a lapped car, sending him sideways and straight into the oncoming path of Chris Buescher. The damage was irreparable with only 31 laps remaining which forced the rookie to settle for a 27th -place finish.
