Kelly Moore Day at Waldoboro, Maine Shop ‘n Save Supermarket
Waldorf, MD -- More than ten years have passed since Kelly Moore and his family relocated their transportation company from Waldoboro, ME further south to the bulging Portland suburbs. Many coastal Maine residents remember the humble beginnings of Moore’s racing career at Wiscasset Speedway, and continue to follow the career of Kelly and his Tic-Tac Racing Team.
Area residents will have an opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the popular NASCAR Busch Grand National North Series veteran on Friday, June 9th. The Shop 'n Save Supermarket of Waldoboro will present "Kelly Moore Day" from 10am to 1pm. Kelly will be present to sign autographs and give fans samples of Tic-Tac Breath Mints. This visit affords race fans an opportunity to take some up close photographs of Kelly Moore and the race cars that have propelled him to 14 Busch Grand National North Series victories.
The Busch North Series will compete at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME for the first time ever on Saturday evening, June 10th Beech Ridge was paved in 1986, and Kelly recorded the first victory on the new asphalt. After a weeks layoff, Kelly and his team remain optimistic that they can grab their first win of 1995 on Moore's hometown track.
