GREG BIFFLE-60-Grainger Ford Taurus (Finished 4th)
YOU'RE THE 2003 BUSCH SERIES CHAMPION. "That sounds good doesn't it, champ? I'm excited. We're definitely going to drink s little bit of this Busch beer tonight. Well, not tonight, I've got to race tomorrow. This next week we're going to have some. I told them to bring the beer truck. I've got to thank everybody who supported us this year, Busch, Grainger and Ford. This Ford Taurus body is awesome. I just hope with the new template rules that it's as good next year as it is this year. I'm happy to hand Ford their first Busch title."
IT LOOKED LIKED YOU HAD A CAR GOOD ENOUGH FOR VICTORY LANE. "Yeah, I did. I was letting it all hang out, too. We made a tire pressure adjustment and the car just came alive. It was unbelievable what these guys can do with these things. I just hate that the team is breaking up some. It will probably be better for all of us. It gives Cowboy (Kevin Starland, car chief) a chance to move up and be a crew chief. It's pretty awesome."
IS THE GOAL NEXT YEAR WINSTON CUP ROOKIE OF THE YEAR? "Rookie of the Year would be great. To win a race or two would be awesome, but we're just excited. Everybody has just been fantastic this season."
BOBBY HAMILTON, JR.-25-Team Marines Ford Taurus (Finished 5th)
YOU DEFINITELY HAD THE CAR TO BEAT AT THE START OF THE RACE. "Well, we decided to stay out and leave the same tires on because we were so good. We knew new tires were going to be good, but not that good. I just got up in the loose stuff one time and was able to get it back. We got a lap down and then this Robert Yates motor, this Marines Ford would fly down the straightaway and then we got back on the lead lap and got a fifth-place finish."
DID THE HANDLING COME BACK AT THE END? "At the end, we were quicker than the leader. We put on two tires, and I could do virtually anything. About 10 more laps and we would be sitting in winner's circle, but congratulations to him. I don't know what goose egg he found, but I need to go hunting with him one day. It's been an awesome year for the Marines, Bobby Hamilton, Jr., Robert Yates and everybody, and we're going to go to the banquet and celebrate."
SCOTT RIGGS-10-Nestle Nesquik Ford Taurus (Finished 17th)
"We were worse today than we were in Happy Hour. We tried to make the car like the 57, thinking that was where I wanted it to go. I don't know why we were so much different, but we were way too different today. We did all we could to finish where we did and we're just hoping we start next season a little differently from where we finished it this year."
