GREG BIFFLE -60-Grainger Taurus (finished 43rd)-"Just guys got racy on lap four up there and I really don't know what happened. The 71 got turned around and I had nowhere to go. I just tried to avoid it. We had a really good car, probably would've won today, I'm pretty confident of that. But, it's just unfortunate."
JEFF GREEN -10-Nestle Nesquik Taurus (finished 36th)
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END?
"I don't know. Something broke in this Roush motor, that's two this year, and never had that problem before. We we're just a little bit off today on our car, and got bad-luck there on a caution, and the caution came out on the next lap after we pitted and got us a lap down. We were a top-six or -seven car, you know, but that's not good enough for me, that's not good enough for Nesquik, so I'm just disappointed."
EVEN BEFORE THE PROBLEM AT THE END, IT SEEMED LIKE A TOUGH DAY.
"Yeah, it was. It seems like Michigan is always that way for us. I don't know why. But, when you pit and the next couple laps everybody else is going to pit, too, but the caution comes out and that doesn't work in your favor. Ryan worked with me there and I never could get back to him and get my lap back there, he was so far ahead. We learned a little bit, I guess."
JASON KELLER -57-Albertsons Taurus (finished eighth)-"It was a real good day. I thought we had a pretty good car yesterday in Happy Hour. We were able to work up. I missed the first wreck on the back straightaway, but I ran over a lot of debris, so we came in and pitted - and that put us way back on track position. But, we were able to work our way back up and have a good, solid top 10."
AND YOU MOVED UP IN THE POINTS STANDINGS, PAST GREG BIFFLE.
"Well, that's one of those things, you know. We have to just stay steady every week, and if Greg or the 2 car has trouble then we need to be there to capitalize on it. We can't dictate what those guys are going to do. On the race track they're gonna race fast, so we just gotta keep our nose clean and I think we'll be okay."
OVERALL, YOU'RE IN SECOND PLACE AS THE SEASON CONTINUES TO WIND DOWN.
"Hey, any time I can come to Michigan and have a good, solid top-10 I'm happy. I've never run that well here and to come here and run good, that's good."
ELTON SAWYER -98-University of Michigan/Starter Taurus (finished seventh)-"We started out and our car was really good. I couldn't have been more pleased with it, you know, running fourth, fifth, in the first part of the race. After the first pit stop we just started getting tighter and we never could get it freed up. I don't know if we pulled down on a front spring or what happened. It felt like that. Still, to come home with a top-10, that's a pretty good day for us."
AND WITH THE MICHIGAN PAINT SCHEME...
"We came here and tested for two days and we wanted to come up here and run well in front of these Michigan fans and put on a good show, and we'll take seventh."
