DARLINGTON, S.C. (May 9) -- Jeff Burton returned to the driver's seat of the No. 21 Chevrolet to substitute for Kevin Harvick in the first-ever Busch Series race under the lights at Darlington Raceway. Burton finished fifth, his second top-five finish of the season for REESE'S.

"I think it was really neat to race at night," Burton said. "The fans got to see all the sparks and action that wouldn't normally be seen in a day race here, which in my opinion was really cool."

Burton started in the eighth spot. At the drop of the green flag, Burton began his charge to the front, and by lap 13 he was in second place behind Shane Hmiel. After one round of pit stops and a couple of adjustments to the REESE'S Chevrolet, Burton battled his way to the front. Burton became the leader by lap 59. He went on to lead 21 laps during the night.

On lap 135 of 147, the sixth and final caution flag flew over Darlington Raceway. Burton and crew chief Rick Viers decided to bring the REESE'S Chevrolet down pit road for some last-minute adjustments. Once Burton returned to the track, he was competing in the 10th spot.

Matt Kenseth won the race, his 18th-career victory in the Busch Series. Kenny Wallace finished second, Martin Truex Jr. finished third and Greg Biffle finished fourth. Clint Bowyer finished 10th and is still second in the drivers' standings.

The REESE'S Racing team has finished in the top-five in eight of 11 Busch Series events, leading all other teams in that category.

Burton, who finished second at Bristol Motor Speedway in the REESE'S Chevrolet in April, enabled the team to gain more ground on Carl Edwards' team in the standings. Edwards' team had been leading by 129 points, and now the deficit is 99 points. Edwards finished 11th.

Harvick will help introduce the new Twizzlers product when he gets behind the wheel of a specially painted Twizzlers Twizted Chevrolet for the Funai 250 at Richmond International Raceway on Friday, May 13. The race begins at 8:05 p.m. EDT on the FX television network and MRN radio network.
