DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 11, 1998) - Officials for NASCAR and Atlanta Motor Speedway have announced the Stihl Power Tools 300 NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division race, rained out last weekend, has been canceled.

The race will instead run as a completely rescheduled event in conjunction with the season-ending NAPA 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race the weekend of Nov. 6-8.

Bud Pole Award Qualifying will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5, followed by Second-Round Bud Beer Qualifying on Friday, Nov. 6 and the Stihl Power Tools 300 on Saturday, Nov. 7.

An announcement regarding the television and radio schedule for the Stihl 300 will be made by the track in the future.

The race was originally scheduled to be run in conjunction with last weekend's PRIMESTAR 500. After both rounds of qualifying were rained out and the race was rescheduled from Saturday, March 7 to Monday, March 9, the event was canceled when the NASCAR Winston Cup Series feature was postponed to Monday, March 9.
