CONCORD, N.C. -- Ricky Craven, driver of the MidWest Transit Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, will drive three Busch Grand National races and two Busch North Series events next season under the sponsorship of Agree Shampoo and Conditioner. The cars, 2000 Monte Carlos, are owned by Ricky Craven Motorsports and will be maintained at the team's shop in Concord. Craven, a native of Newburgh, Maine, is the only driver ever to win Rookie of the Year honors in three NASCAR divisions -- Busch North, Busch Grand National and Winston Cup. He won 10 races and the Busch North championship in 1991 and finished a close second for the Busch Grand National championship in both 1993 and 1994. Craven also won the Winston Open at Lowe's Motor Speedway, formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway, in 1997. The three Busch Grand National races scheduled are those on Saturdays before the May and October Winston Cup events at Lowe's Motor Speedway and a stand-alone event at New Hampshire International Speedway in May. Craven also will run the two Busch North races on the Saturdays prior to the July and September Winston Cup races at New Hampshire. "I'm extremely excited to extend our relationship with Agree Shampoo and Conditioner into another racing season," Craven said. "Our 2000 schedule will be great for me because we'll be racing at two tracks that I truly enjoy -- Charlotte and New Hampshire. And, as a little something extra, it'll afford me the opportunity to get back home to New England more often. "I also want to emphasize that I enjoy representing a company that sells products used by me and my family." Also showcased on Craven's car will be LA Looks Hair Styling Products and Fa Body Wash & Liquid Soap. All of the products are manufactured by Schwarzkopf & DEP, a Los Angeles based company with annual sales of $100 million. "It's nice to have an association with a professional such as Ricky Craven as we build our program in this sport," said Jeff Roberson, director of motorsports marketing for Schwarzkopf & DEP. "Ricky is not only a talented driver but is a first class individual who will be a great ambassador of our company and our brands."
